Jungle Trek
At the end of our week-long exploration of the forests and jungles of Northern Thailand, we will travel as a group into the Thai jungle for a 2-day trek. This experience will provide us with a chance to spend extensive time in the wilderness and see wildlife and vistas that most casual visitors and tourists never get a chance to see.
Our experienced naturalists and tour guides will lead us through the mountains. Each day will entail about three hours of uphill hiking along rocky paths.
We will have plenty of time to stop and take in the sights, see what animals we can find, and even enjoy bananas and pomelos that grow in the mountains.
Along the way, we will explore naturally occurring hot springs for a well-deserved break. Or, if you prefer something cooler after a hot day in the jungle, there are waterfall pools to swim in.
The mountain views and waterfalls throughout the Northern Thai jungle are pristine. We will spend one night with the people of a hill tribe village in the mountains, staying in their village and observing their way of life.
This private trek is administered by our trusted staff, Thai naturalists that are sensitive to the needs of the native hill tribe people and the wildlife we encounter.
This is eco-tourism at its finest, and our students can be sure that the habitats they observe are left no worse for their visit. This trek is truly one of the jewels of our trip.
