Theresa Aller

Theresa Aller holds a BS in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from UCLA. She is now a DVM candidate at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she is the Junior President of the Avian and Exotic Medicine Club and is also an officer in International Veterinary Outreach, Mercer Clinic for Pets of the Homeless, and Knights Landing One Health Clinic.

She has always had a passion for taking care of animals. She began her interest in medicine working in her father's optometry office, which led to working in a lab at UC Davis for a veterinary ophthalmologist. She then worked as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital on weekends during undergrad at UCLA.

Theresa has traveled a lot throughout the US and Central America. Her favorite trips include backpacking in Hawaii, winter hiking in Yosemite, and traveling through national parks from California to Oregon.

She has traveled to Central America for research projects, including an independent research project in Nicaragua and a crocodile research project in Belize. She took a year before vet school to work as a veterinary assistant at a small animal and exotics hospital and volunteered at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA.

She is very excited to meet all her students and looking forward to sharing such an amazing experience with them!
